Pear, Cherry, Cacao
A medium-dark Costa Rica from Copper Coffee Roasters in Cobham, Surrey - pear, cherry, cacao and liquorice folding into something rich and quietly satisfying, with no caffeine to speak of. The CO2 decaf process keeps the flavour where it should be, and it holds up well whether you brew it black or with milk.

Rich, dark, and caffeine-free comfort
Decaf has a reputation it doesn't always deserve, and this Costa Rica from Copper Coffee Roasters is a fair example of why. Processed using the CO2 method - where pressurised carbon dioxide draws out the caffeine without touching the flavour compounds - it arrives with 99.9% less caffeine and a surprising amount of character still intact. The Red Catuai variety, grown in Costa Rica and roasted to a medium-dark, gives you pear and cherry up front, with cacao and liquorice lending a deeper, slightly bittersweet warmth underneath. Rich enough to hold its own without milk, and rounded enough to work well with it.
With an SCA score of 81.50, it sits comfortably in specialty territory, and the versatility backs that up - French press, V60, AeroPress, Moka pot, it moves between brew methods without complaint. If you're cutting back on caffeine but not on flavour, or simply want something you can drink later in the day without lying awake counting ceiling tiles, this is a coffee worth keeping in the cupboard. Available in whole bean or freshly ground to your preferred grind size.

About the Roaster
Copper Coffee Roasters started in 2019 in a small Richmond office, where a recruitment business and a growing obsession with great coffee shared the same desk space. That obsession has since grown into a roastery in Cobham, Surrey, three coffee shops across south-west London and Surrey, and a range built around helping people find their way into speciality coffee without the fuss.
