Orange Pekoe, Lime, Cola
Roxana Chambi's Finca San Lorenzo sits in the Bolivian Andes, a small hand-picked farm producing a washed Red Catuai with real clarity. Orange pekoe, cola and lime come through cleanly - bright and a little tangy, with a finish that lingers. Not a lot of fuss, just a well-grown coffee that knows exactly what it is.

Bright, tangy and quietly singular
Roxana Chambi started Finca San Lorenzo in 2019 on five hectares in the Caranavi province of La Paz, picking every cherry by hand at around 1,550 metres. The La Paz department sits hard against the Andes, where volcanic soils and high altitude slow the whole growing process down - and you can taste it. The Red Catuai variety, a cross developed in Brazil and released in 1972, isn't one you'll find everywhere, which adds to the interest.
The coffee is washed - sorted, depulped, fermented and dried slowly at farm level over about two weeks - and that process gives it a clarity that's immediately noticeable in the cup. What comes through is orange pekoe, cola and lime: bright, a little tangy, quietly distinctive. Bolivia's specialty coffee scene is still finding its feet, and Finca San Lorenzo feels like a good sign of where it's heading. A lovely filter coffee for anyone who enjoys something a little different from the usual suspects.

About the Roaster
Press Coffee & Co started life in 2013 as a single espresso bar on Fleet Street, grew to seven sites across Central London, and in 2019 found its footing with a roastery in Herne Hill. Andy and Nelly now run it as a focused roasting operation - sourcing, roasting and supplying coffee to wholesale partners and home brewers alike, with a small, close-knit team who take the coffee seriously without making a performance of it.
