Nougat, Dried Cherry
If you're cutting back on caffeine but not on flavour, this Brazilian blend from Daterra's Cerrado farm is worth knowing about. A natural blend of Aramosa and Laurina varieties, it's smooth and medium-bodied - nougat sweetness, a warmth of dried cherry, and the kind of easy drinkability that fits any part of your day.

Nutty, sweet and half-caf mellow
Aramosa and Laurina are two naturally low-caffeine varieties, and Daterra's Cerrado farm has spent years working out how to get the best from both. Aramosa - a cross between Arabica and the low-caffeine Racemosa species - brings a subtle florality and milk chocolate softness. Laurina, a natural mutation of Bourbon, adds an inherent sweetness and a hint of dried cherry. Together they produce something that drinks with the ease and warmth you'd expect from a well-grown Brazilian coffee, without the caffeine hit of a standard Arabica.
The result is smooth and medium-bodied, with nougat sweetness, a gentle dried cherry note and a clean, easy finish. It's the kind of coffee that works well at any point in the day - morning, afternoon or evening - and holds up across brew methods without demanding much from you.
Assembly have been working with Daterra on this lot for three years now, and the consistency shows. If you're watching your caffeine intake but don't want to sacrifice flavour, this is a considered option worth keeping in your rotation.

About the Roaster
Assembly Coffee started in Brixton in 2015, built around a simple conviction: that a roastery should source what its customers actually need, not what looks good on a shelf. Now a B-Corp certified team of thirty, they work with producers, scientists and hospitality partners across the world - bringing carefully chosen coffees to independent cafes, restaurants and home brewers from London to Manila.
