Milk Chocolate, Sultana, Dark Cherry
Reforest is a washed Colombian single origin tied to a tree-planting co-operative across Tolima and Caldas - a project Press Coffee & Co know well enough to have visited in person. In the cup it's warm and approachable: milk chocolate, sultana and dark cherry coming together in something that works beautifully as an espresso, black or with milk.

Chocolate-rich espresso with a conscience
Reforest is a washed Colombian single origin from the Reforest Project - a co-operative initiative that rewards exceptional coffee and, in doing so, funds the planting of 5,000 native trees across Tolima and Caldas. Press Coffee & Co believed in it enough to send their head of operations Jack over to Colombia to see it firsthand, and the coffee in the cup makes a strong case for why.
It's roasted to order in Herne Hill. The results are warm and inviting: milk chocolate and sultana on the sweeter side, with dark cherry lending a little depth and a gentle fruit edge. As an espresso it's rich and rounded, pulling well as a straight shot or with milk. The washed process keeps things clean and focused, letting the natural sweetness of the Caturra and Castillo varieties come through without distraction.
If you want a coffee that does something quietly meaningful without making a fuss about it, this is a good one to reach for.

About the Roaster
Press Coffee & Co started life in 2013 as a single espresso bar on Fleet Street, grew to seven sites across Central London, and in 2019 found its footing with a roastery in Herne Hill. Andy and Nelly now run it as a focused roasting operation - sourcing, roasting and supplying coffee to wholesale partners and home brewers alike, with a small, close-knit team who take the coffee seriously without making a performance of it.
