A medium roast single origin from Peru, with a clean, fruity lift that brightens a morning without demanding much of you. Organic and Fairtrade from the start, it's sourced and roasted by Lorraine and her team at Owens in Ivybridge, Devon - where specialty-grade standards have been the baseline since 2010.

Bright, clean filter. Fruit leads
The Peru is a medium roast single origin with a clean, fruity lift that makes it a natural fit for filter brewing. Bright without being sharp - easy to drink through the morning and rewarding enough to slow down for.
Lorraine and the team at Owens have been roasting in Ivybridge since 2010, and every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty before it reaches the drum. The Peru is no exception. That commitment to sourcing shows in the cup: there's a clarity here that comes from beans grown without synthetic intervention, allowed to develop at their own pace.
If you tend to reach for something fruit-forward and clean rather than heavy and roasted, this is a coffee worth settling into. It works well as a pour over or through a filter machine, and the 1kg option is a sensible choice if you find yourself going back to it - which, fair warning, you probably will.

About the Roaster
Owens has been roasting coffee in Ivybridge since 2010, and Lorraine - who came to the craft from a career in biotech - brings a scientist's instinct for precision to every batch. Every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty, a standard they've held from the start. They were the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the South West, and nothing about that commitment has shifted since.
