Chocolate, Cherry, Clove
Coast is a dark-roasted specialty blend of Robusta from Karnataka and Arabica from Honduras - chocolate, cherry, and warming clove, with a full-bodied kick that works as an espresso, in a cafetière, or with a splash of milk. Both origins are organic and Fairtrade, roasted by Owens in Devon with the same care they've brought to every coffee since 2010.

Dark, bold, built for mornings
Coast is a specialty blend built around a combination that doesn't get nearly enough attention: high-quality Robusta from Karnataka's shaded farms in India, paired with smooth Honduran Arabica grown by the women of the AMPROCAL cooperative at altitude. The Robusta brings depth, cocoa richness, and a real caffeine kick; the Arabica rounds things out with chocolate sweetness and a gentle lift of cherry and clove. Together they make something bold without being brutal, and full-bodied enough to hold up well with milk.
Owens roast it dark, which suits the blend well - the flavours are warm and enveloping rather than sharp, and it pulls a strong espresso that keeps its character in a cappuccino or a cafetière. If you tend to reach for something with real presence in the morning, Coast is worth your time.
Both origins are organic and Fairtrade - the AMPROCAL cooperative in Honduras and the Karnataka farms in India working to standards Owens have held across their entire range since 2010. The result is a cup that's consistent, clean, and has a bit more going on beneath the surface than you might expect from a dark blend.

About the Roaster
Owens has been roasting coffee in Ivybridge since 2010, and Lorraine - who came to the craft from a career in biotech - brings a scientist's instinct for precision to every batch. Every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty, a standard they've held from the start. They were the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the South West, and nothing about that commitment has shifted since.
