Chocolate, Brown Sugar
If you're after a coffee that just works - every morning, every method, every milk - Bantham is a smooth, chocolatey blend with a mellow sweetness that knows when to stop. Built from organic, Fairtrade Arabica grown by smallholder cooperatives in Peru and Sumatra, it's the kind of dependable house coffee you'll find yourself reaching for without a second thought.

Smooth, chocolatey comfort every morning
Bantham is the kind of blend that earns its place in the morning routine - chocolatey and mellow, with a medium roast that keeps things smooth whether you're pulling a shot or brewing a large cafetiere for the table. It's the coffee you reach for without overthinking it, and that's exactly the point.
The blend draws on two origins. Smallholder farms in northern Peru, where COOPAFSI supports its members with training and a micro-credit facility that gives producers real stability. And Sumatra, where the women-led KOPEPI Ketiara cooperative uses traditional wet-hulling to bring body, richness, and a brown sugar warmth to the cup. The two work well together - the Peru lending a cleaner, fruitier lift, the Sumatra adding depth and weight. Both are fully organic and Fairtrade certified, and both are independently graded as specialty before they reach Lorraine's roastery in Ivybridge.
It holds up with milk, it holds up black, and it holds up in a Thermos on the way out the door. If you're looking for a dependable house coffee that doesn't ask much of you but consistently delivers, Bantham is a very easy answer.

About the Roaster
Owens has been roasting coffee in Ivybridge since 2010, and Lorraine - who came to the craft from a career in biotech - brings a scientist's instinct for precision to every batch. Every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty, a standard they've held from the start. They were the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the South West, and nothing about that commitment has shifted since.
