Dates, Caramel, Cherry
Half Caff is a lightly roasted blend of organic, Fairtrade coffees from Peru and Colombia, with notes of dates, caramel, and a soft cherry lift. The decaf portion is Swiss Water® processed, which keeps the cup clean and flavourful. So whether you're brewing mid-afternoon or after dinner, you get the same rounded, easy-drinking character - no clock-watching required.

All-day smooth, half the caffeine
Half Caff is a blend built for the moments when you want a proper cup without the caffeine - mid-afternoon, after dinner, or simply when you've already had your fill for the day. Lightly roasted to coax out natural sweetness, it brings notes of dates, caramel, and a gentle lift of cherry fruit, with a rounded, easy-drinking quality that holds up black, with milk, or over ice.
The blend draws on two organic, Fairtrade-certified coffees. The decaf component comes from Peru, processed using the Swiss Water® method - a 100% chemical-free approach that preserves the coffee's character. The second half comes from ANEI in Colombia, a collective of indigenous Arhuaco communities farming in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where organic methods and careful land stewardship produce a soft, gently citrus-bright cup. Together they make something that feels considered and complete, not like a compromise.
Owens has held an organic and Fairtrade baseline since Lorraine founded the roastery in Ivybridge in 2010, and Half Caff is no exception - every bean is independently graded as specialty before it reaches the drum. The result is a coffee that drinks cleanly and consistently, whatever time of day you reach for it.

About the Roaster
Owens has been roasting coffee in Ivybridge since 2010, and Lorraine - who came to the craft from a career in biotech - brings a scientist's instinct for precision to every batch. Every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty, a standard they've held from the start. They were the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the South West, and nothing about that commitment has shifted since.
