Milk Chocolate, Blackcurrant, Battenberg Cake
A full-bodied Peruvian coffee with milk chocolate warmth, a lift of blackcurrant and a soft, cake-like sweetness in the finish. Grown by 800 women across the CECANOR Co-operative as part of the Café Femenino programme, it holds up well however you brew it - and it's easy to feel good about buying.

Dark, rich and blackcurrant-bright espresso
This is a coffee with a story worth knowing, though it holds up just as well in the cup without it. Grown by 800 women across six associations within the CECANOR Co-operative, the Café Femenino programme was founded in Peru in 2004 by 464 female producers building a fairer trading platform for women in coffee - it now spans nine countries and thousands of growers. The coffee itself reflects that breadth: Bourbon, Catuai, Catimor and Typica sit alongside the rarer Gran Colombia and Villa Sarchi varietals, and you can taste the complexity that brings.
In the cup, it's rich-bodied with a fairly bright acidity - milk chocolate and blackcurrant up front, with a battenberg-cake sweetness that rounds things out. It drinks well across most brew methods, comfortable as a morning filter or pulled through an espresso machine. Wogan's team describes it as a day-starter, and that feels right - there's enough going on to be interesting, but nothing that demands your full attention before the first sip.

About the Roaster
Wogan Coffee has been part of Bristol's fabric for over fifty years, now run across three generations with one branch in Bristol and another in London. As a wholly independent family company, they've spent decades learning not just how to roast well, but how to do it responsibly - paying the living wage, running solar-powered roasteries, and delivering locally by cargo bike.
