Caramel, Biscuit, Roasted Nut
Gara is the blend Owens customers keep coming back for, now available in compostable, Nespresso®-compatible pods. A medium-dark roast built from organic, Fairtrade Arabica beans sourced from Honduras and Peru, it brings caramel, biscuit, and roasted nut with a gentle fruit lift. Consistent and rewarding - and it picked up a 2 Star Great Taste Award in 2025 to prove the point.

Caramel-sweet, award-winning espresso in pods
Gara is the blend Owen's customers keep coming back to, and it's not hard to see why. It draws on Arabica beans from two cooperatives - AMPROCAL in Honduras and APROCOYCE in Peru - bringing together the chocolate sweetness and gentle fruit of high-altitude Honduran coffee with the caramel depth and bright fruit clarity of Peruvian beans grown in cloud forests. The result is caramel-sweet, biscuity, and laced with roasted nut, with just enough of a fruit lift to keep things lively.
Roasted to a medium-dark profile, it's rich without being heavy - consistent enough to earn a 2 Star Great Taste Award in 2025. Every pod is plastic-free and compostable, and the coffee inside is both organic and Fairtrade, meaning the beans are grown without synthetic chemicals and the farmers behind them are paid a fair, stable price.
Each pouch contains 20 pods, compatible with Nespresso® machines.
If you want a coffee that feels considered without requiring any effort on your part, this is a very good place to land.

About the Roaster
Owens has been roasting coffee in Ivybridge since 2010, and Lorraine - who came to the craft from a career in biotech - brings a scientist's instinct for precision to every batch. Every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty, a standard they've held from the start. They were the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the South West, and nothing about that commitment has shifted since.
