Shortbread, Praline, Golden Syrup
A clean, sweet espresso with a mellow body and bright acidity, this Organic Fairtrade blend draws on beans from Honduras and Peru - rotating between the two as harvests allow, since both share closely matched flavour and roast profiles. Shortbread, praline and golden syrup lead the way. Easy through an espresso machine, and just as happy in a filter or cafetiere.

Sweet, smooth and reliably easy-drinking
Wogan rotate between two coffees here - an Organic Fairtrade Honduras and an Organic Fairtrade Peru - swapping between them as crops come and go throughout the year. The idea is straightforward: both coffees share a very similar flavour profile, roast development and SCA score, so whichever one arrives in your bag, the cup should feel consistent. They'll always tell you which one it currently is, on the label and on the page.
In the cup, it's clean and smooth with a bright acidity and a mellow body - the kind of coffee that doesn't demand much of you. The flavour notes sit in shortbread, praline and golden syrup territory, making for a very sweet espresso that also holds up well across other brew methods.
The Honduras side of things comes from COCAFELOL, a co-operative in the mountainous Ocotepeque Department in western Honduras, where the Fairtrade premium has helped fund a fertiliser production programme - coffee husks and natural fungi turned into free inputs for member farms. The varietals include Catuai, Caturra and Pacamara, the last of which brings a slightly floral character to the blend. Organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified throughout.

About the Roaster
Wogan Coffee has been part of Bristol's fabric for over fifty years, now run across three generations with one branch in Bristol and another in London. As a wholly independent family company, they've spent decades learning not just how to roast well, but how to do it responsibly - paying the living wage, running solar-powered roasteries, and delivering locally by cargo bike.
