Cherry, Cane Sugar, Orange
A classic washed Costa Rican with a bright, citrus-led character - cherry, orange and cane sugar in a clean, well-structured cup. Grown at altitude by a tight-knit community of 46 farming families in the San José region, it works beautifully as a daily brew and really opens up when you pull it as a flat white.

Bright, clean and fruit-forward fun
El Canet comes from a small community of 46 farming families in the San José region of Costa Rica, working together through the Tarrazú cooperative - one of the country's most respected groups, still farmer-run more than sixty years after it was founded. Members get technical support, preferential supply pricing, and fertiliser made from the farms' own coffee pulp waste. That last detail tells you something about how carefully the whole operation is run.
The coffee is washed, which suits it well. The process keeps things clean and clear, letting the natural character of the Caturra and Catuai varieties come through. What you get in the cup is bright and citrus-forward - cherry and orange up front, with a cane sugar sweetness that rounds things out. At 1,800 - 1,900m, the altitude slows the ripening and it shows in the flavour intensity. With an SCA score of 85, it sits comfortably in specialty territory without making a fuss about it.
Laura from the Wogan team calls it her go-to homebrew and recommends it as a flat white to bring the fruit notes forward. It's easy to see why - it works across most brew methods, but it really does sing with a little milk.

About the Roaster
Wogan Coffee has been part of Bristol's fabric for over fifty years, now run across three generations with one branch in Bristol and another in London. As a wholly independent family company, they've spent decades learning not just how to roast well, but how to do it responsibly - paying the living wage, running solar-powered roasteries, and delivering locally by cargo bike.
