Marzipan, Praline, Orange
Capitol is a Brazilian and Colombian arabica blend with marzipan, praline and a hint of orange - familiar and considered in the same sip. Wogan have been refining it for years, taking both origins to a slightly more developed roast that builds a thick caramel body and an easy-drinking character that holds up across pretty much any brew method you reach for.

Smooth, malty, and reliably crowd-pleasing
Capitol is Wogan's long-standing house blend - a Brazilian and Colombian arabica pairing that has been quietly winning people over for years. The Brazilian half brings a red honey process sweetness, the Colombian a cleaner washed brightness, and together they settle into something with real depth: marzipan and praline at the fore, a thick caramel body underneath, and a lift of orange to stop things feeling heavy.
Wogan take both origins to a slightly more developed roast, which rounds off any rough edges and makes the blend forgiving across a range of brewing methods. It was developed with filters and cafetières in mind, but it holds up equally well as an espresso or through a stovetop - the kind of coffee that adapts to however your morning is going, rather than the other way around.
With SCA scores of 84.5 and 84.2 for the two components, and grown at altitude between 1,100 and 1,650 metres, there's real quality in the raw material. The result is consistent and smooth, with enough going on to keep you interested without ever feeling like it's trying too hard.

About the Roaster
Wogan Coffee has been part of Bristol's fabric for over fifty years, now run across three generations with one branch in Bristol and another in London. As a wholly independent family company, they've spent decades learning not just how to roast well, but how to do it responsibly - paying the living wage, running solar-powered roasteries, and delivering locally by cargo bike.
