Chocolate, Sweet, Citrus
Jenkin Jones Decaf No.5 Pods are a chocolate-led espresso with gentle sweetness and a lift of citrus, roasted in small batches by Coaltown in South Wales and packed into home-compostable, plastic-free capsules that work with all original Nespresso machines. If you want a rich, considered cup without the caffeine - and without the landfill guilt - this is a straightforward place to land.

Chocolatey decaf pod, no compromise
Jenkin Jones Decaf No.5 comes from Minas Gerais, one of Brazil's most established coffee-growing regions, and arrives here in a home-compostable, plastic-free capsule compatible with all original Nespresso machines. The coffee itself is chocolate-led and gently sweet, with a thread of citrus running through it that keeps things from feeling heavy. It's the kind of cup that settles into your afternoon or evening without any fuss - rich enough to feel satisfying, light enough to drink whenever you like.
Coaltown ground the coffee specifically for a longer extraction time, which suits the capsule format well and helps the flavour come through cleanly. They suggest aiming for 25 to 30 grams for a short coffee and 60 to 80 grams for a longer one, though as with anything, your own taste is the best guide. On the sustainability side, the pods are plant-based and can go straight into your food waste collection or home compost heap - 30,000 aluminium and plastic capsules end up in landfill every minute, so it's a detail worth noting. Roasted daily in small batches in Ammanford by Coaltown's team, this is a considered, well-made decaf that doesn't ask you to compromise.

About the Roaster
Scott James set up Coaltown in Ammanford, a South Wales town that ran on anthracite coal for generations, with a straightforward idea: that great coffee could give a post-industrial community something to rally around again. The team roasts daily in small batches, working a range that moves from easy-drinking espresso blends through to more expressive single origins.
