Honeyed Sweetness, Citrus, Chocolate
Dart is a mellow, honeyed blend of organic Arabica from Peru and Rwanda - gentle citrus brightness, easy sweetness, the kind of coffee that fits any point in the day. Roasted by Lorraine and the team at Owens in Devon, it's picked up Great Taste and Gold at Taste of the West. Recognition that sits quietly in the background while the cup just gets on with it, brew after brew.

Honeyed filter with sun-bright lift
Dart is a blend that earns its place in the regular rotation - honeyed and sweet, with a citrus brightness that keeps things lively without tipping into sharpness. The Peru component, grown by the COOPAFSI cooperative in the cloud forests of northern Peru, brings smooth chocolate sweetness and fruit clarity; the Rwandan Bourbon from the Sholi cooperative in Muhanga adds delicate citrus lift and a clean, soft finish. Together they make a cup that feels considered and complete, whether you're brewing it through a filter or reaching for the cafetière.
All the coffee is organic and Fairtrade - for Owens, always the baseline rather than a badge. Organic farming lets the cherries ripen slowly and develop natural sweetness; Fairtrade gives the cooperatives behind it a stable foundation to work from. The result is a cup that's clean and consistently rewarding, and two awards back that up: Great Taste in 2020 and Gold at Taste of the West in 2023.
Dart suits anyone who wants a filter blend with a bit of character - mellow enough to drink every day, interesting enough to notice.

About the Roaster
Owens has been roasting coffee in Ivybridge since 2010, and Lorraine - who came to the craft from a career in biotech - brings a scientist's instinct for precision to every batch. Every coffee they sell is organic, Fairtrade, and independently graded as specialty, a standard they've held from the start. They were the first dedicated organic coffee roaster in the South West, and nothing about that commitment has shifted since.
