Blueberry, Bergamot
From Asefa Dukamo's Gatta Farm in Sidama's Bensa district, this natural-processed Ethiopian is syrupy and bright - blueberry sweetness up front, with a delicate bergamot floral note running through it. Slow cherry maturation at altitude produces dense, concentrated beans, and that patience shows in the cup: clean, vivid, and well worth a careful pour over.

Blueberry-bright, floral and quietly luminous
Duwancho comes from the Gatta Farm in Sidama's Bensa district, where Asefa Dukamo works at elevations between 1,920 and 2,020 metres. At that height, cool temperatures slow the ripening of the cherry considerably, and the beans that result are notably dense and small - concentrated in a way that shows in the cup. Only fully ripe cherries make the cut, floated to remove anything less than ideal, then dried on raised African beds for two to three weeks.
The natural process does what it does best here: the coffee is syrupy and fruit-forward, with a vivid sweetness that carries through from the first sip. Blueberry sits at the front, bright and clean rather than jammy, and a delicate bergamot floral note threads through and lifts the whole thing. The Heirloom varieties - 74110 and 741112 - bring a clarity that keeps it from feeling heavy, so it drinks with an easy brightness that works well as a pour over. If you enjoy Ethiopian naturals but find some too intense, this one tends to win people over.
