Cacao, Caramel, Red Fruits
The Ballroom Blend pairs Brazil's chocolate body with Rwanda's brighter, fruit-forward character to land somewhere smooth and balanced - cacao and caramel up front, a quiet lift of red fruit behind. It's roasted to work across all brew methods, so it sits just as comfortably in a cafetière as through an espresso machine. The kind of coffee that fits your day without asking much of you.

Rich, fruit-lifted, brews beautifully anywhere
The Ballroom Blend is built from equal parts Brazil and Rwanda - two origins that complement each other quietly well. Brazil brings the chocolatey body and a steady sweetness; Rwanda lifts things with its characteristic brightness and red fruit character. The result sits comfortably in the middle: cacao and caramel doing the steady work, a thread of red fruit keeping it interesting.
It's roasted to hold up across brewing methods, so whether you're pulling shots or settling in with a cafetière on a slow morning, it doesn't ask you to compromise. That makes it a practical choice if you'd rather not keep separate bags for espresso and filter.
The name is a nod to Dear Green's former home near the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow - a detail that's stayed with the coffee even as the roastery has moved on. Founded by Lisa Lawson in 2011 and now B Corp-certified, Dear Green has spent well over a decade building something considered and transparent. The Ballroom Blend sits squarely within that: a well-made, reliable coffee that doesn't ask much of you beyond enjoying it.

About the Roaster
Dear Green was founded by Lisa Lawson in Glasgow in 2011 - one woman, one roaster, and a clear sense of what specialty coffee could be in Scotland. Fourteen years on, they're a B Corp-certified roastery with a full team, a training space, and sourcing built on direct relationships and transparency. There's also a Q Grader in house, which means every coffee on the list has been properly scrutinised before it gets anywhere near you.
