Berry, Praline
From the Cerrado region of Brazil, this Yellow Bourbon is pulped natural processed - enough fruit contact to bring gentle berry sweetness and praline nuttiness, while keeping the cleaner edge that makes it easy to drink across any brew method. It doesn't demand much of you. It just works.

Berry-sweet, nutty, and quietly confident
Fazenda Pantano sits in the Cerrado region of Brazil at 1,100 metres, and the Yellow Bourbon grown there has the kind of character that makes you understand why Brazilian coffee has the reputation it does. The pulped natural process - where the cherry skin is removed but the fruit mucilage is left on during drying - sits between a washed and a full natural, and you can taste exactly that in the cup: the clarity of a cleaner coffee with a layer of berry sweetness underneath, rounded out by a praline nuttiness that lingers.
It moves comfortably across brew methods. Pull it as an espresso and you get a rich, sweet shot with good body; run it through a cafetiere or filter and the fruit notes open up a little more.
The estate supports a local school and runs training schemes for staff, which sits naturally alongside Dear Green's own approach to sourcing. Founded by Lisa Lawson in Glasgow in 2011 and now B Corp-certified, Dear Green has a Q Grader on the team who assesses every coffee before it makes the list. That kind of rigour shows in the cup - this one earns its place.

About the Roaster
Dear Green was founded by Lisa Lawson in Glasgow in 2011 - one woman, one roaster, and a clear sense of what specialty coffee could be in Scotland. Fourteen years on, they're a B Corp-certified roastery with a full team, a training space, and sourcing built on direct relationships and transparency. There's also a Q Grader in house, which means every coffee on the list has been properly scrutinised before it gets anywhere near you.
