Maple Syrup, Green Grape, Dark Chocolate
A single-origin Brazilian from Vale de Grama, this decaf has a warmth and sweetness that makes it easy to forget caffeine was ever part of the equation. Maple syrup, dark chocolate and a hint of green grape in a smooth, well-rounded cup. It works well as an espresso or a cafetiere, morning or evening, with or without milk.

Rich decaf that means business
A Brazilian single origin from Vale de Grama, grown in fertile volcanic soils at altitude, where a mild climate and natural sweetness in the bean do a lot of the heavy lifting before roasting even begins. The result is a medium-roast decaf with real depth: maple syrup and dark chocolate up front, a thread of green grape running through, and a rounded, smooth body that holds up whether you pull it as an espresso or let it breathe in a cafetiere.
The caffeine is removed using the sugarcane process - a chemical-free method using ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane, and widely regarded as one of the gentler ways to decaffeinate without stripping out what makes a coffee worth drinking. Volcano have been sourcing from Vale de Grama for a while, and the care in that relationship shows in the cup.
If you tend to reach for a flat white in the afternoon but would rather sleep at night, or if caffeine simply isn't part of your picture, this is a coffee that asks nothing of you except to enjoy it.

About the Roaster
Volcano Coffee Works began with Kurt Stewart, a New Zealand-born chef, wheeling a vintage Piaggio Ape cart along a West Dulwich pavement and serving espresso to whoever fancied one. That spirit - unpretentious, curious, quietly determined - has carried through to a London roastery, two south London cafés, and a team built around the idea that good coffee should do good in the world as well as taste good in the cup.
