Forest fruits, almond, and caramel - smooth and gently sweet, this washed Colombian from the ASMUCAFE women's cooperative in Cauca is built for everyday brewing but has enough character to keep you coming back. Dear Green visited the cooperative in 2019 and found farmers who'd built their own tasting lab to keep quality in check. That kind of care tends to show up in the cup, and here it does.

ASMUCAFE - Asociación de Mujeres Agropecuarias de Uribe - is a cooperative of women farmers and landowners in El Tambo, Cauca, working together to improve their families' livelihoods through coffee farming. When Dear Green visited in 2019, they found members who had gone as far as setting up their own lab for roasting and sensory evaluation - a serious commitment to quality in what the cooperative calls their 'peace crop', grown in a region emerging from years of unrest. Sourced at altitude between 1,400 and 2,000 metres, processed washed, and brought to you by a roastery that has been building direct producer relationships for well over a decade, this is a coffee with a clear story behind it - and a cup that delivers on it.
About the Roaster
Dear Green was founded by Lisa Lawson in Glasgow in 2011 - one woman, one roaster, and a clear sense of what specialty coffee could be in Scotland. Fourteen years on, they're a B Corp-certified roastery with a full team, a training space, and sourcing built on direct relationships and transparency. There's also a Q Grader in house, which means every coffee on the list has been properly scrutinised before it gets anywhere near you.
