Earthy, Chocolate
Pitch Hill is a full-bodied, earthy espresso blend with a classic Italian character - dark and grounded, with clear chocolate notes when taken with milk and no bitterness to speak of. Roasted by Chris and Monika in the Surrey Hills, it's built for those who like their espresso with real weight and presence.

Dark, earthy espresso with soul
Pitch Hill is Surrey Hills Coffee's strongest espresso blend - medium-dark roasted coffees from Brazil and India, with 30% robusta in the mix. That robusta is doing real work: it's what gives the blend its earthy depth and body, and it's central to the darker, more traditional Italian style that Chris and Monika had in mind when they put it together.
In the cup it's full-bodied, with no acidity or bitterness to speak of. Drink it black and you get that earthy, robust character straight; add milk and chocolate notes come through clearly, making it a natural fit for flat whites and lattes as much as a straight shot. It also holds up well across espresso machines, bean-to-cup machines, moka pots and the AeroPress - useful if you brew in more than one way.
If you tend to reach for something with real weight and presence in the morning, this one's worth a try.

About the Roaster
Founded in 2014 by Chris and Monika, Surrey Hills Coffee has been quietly doing things their own way - hand roasting specialty-grade coffee in the village of Abinger Hammer, deep in the Surrey Hills. They're not chasing trends; they're building a range that gives you something to come back to, whatever your taste or mood.
