Decaf that doesn't ask nicely
Night Flight is Surrey Hills Coffee's answer to an evening cup - a medium roasted blend of Brazilian and Colombian decaffeinated coffees that works whether you pull it as an espresso or brew it long through a filter. Chris and Monika's aim was straightforward: a decaf that holds its own on flavour, so the only thing you notice is that you sleep well afterwards.
Roasting to a medium level keeps things balanced and approachable - not too bright, not too heavy. Brazil and Colombia are a well-suited pairing, bringing body and a gentle sweetness that carries through however you choose to brew. The caffeine is removed using the CO2 method, and occasionally the Swiss Water process - both clean approaches that leave the coffee's character largely intact.
Worth considering if you're cutting back on caffeine without wanting to give up the ritual, or if you simply want something you can enjoy after dinner without lying awake. It comes in whole bean or pre-ground for filter or espresso - whole bean and grinding fresh will get the best out of it.
