Brown Sugar, Honey
A Colombia and Rwanda blend built for espresso. Drunk black, it's bright and juicy with a brown sugar sweetness; add milk and it softens into something honeyed and easy. The kind of house coffee that earns its place on a weekday morning - enough character to keep you interested, not so much that it demands your attention.

Honey-sweet espresso with a lightness
The Yard brings Colombia and Rwanda together in a blend that leans juicy and sweet - the kind of espresso that feels lively without being sharp. Black, it's all brown sugar brightness and a honey-like softness; with milk, those sweeter notes settle into something smooth and easy to drink through the morning.
Redemption Roasters built this as a house coffee, and it shows. It's the sort of blend that works across the day without demanding much from you - no fussing over brew ratios or grind settings; it just pulls well and tastes good. The Colombian and Rwandan components bring a natural fruitiness that lifts it away from the purely chocolatey end of the espresso spectrum, while keeping things balanced enough to suit most tastes. If you want something with a bit more life than a classic dark roast but without veering into the more adventurous end of Redemption's range, The Yard sits comfortably in that middle ground.

About the Roaster
Redemption Roasters was founded in 2016 when Ted and Max were approached by the Ministry of Justice to set up a roastery inside a prison - the idea being to train coffee skills to help reduce reoffending. Eight years on, they run barista academies across four prisons, employ prison leavers at their roastery and shops, and source specialty coffee with the same care and transparency they bring to everything else: direct relationships and honest sourcing.
