Named after one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Surrey Hills, Box Hill is a blend that offers depth and balance with a bit more body than its lighter counterparts. It is another carefully considered medium roast from Chris and Monika at Surrey Hills Coffee, designed with espresso drinkers in mind.
Like Holmbury Hill, it brings together beans from Brazil and Colombia, but here the profile leans towards deeper tones. Chocolate sits at the centre, supported by a gently nutty richness and a touch of earthiness that adds structure without heaviness. It is a coffee with presence and depth, without ever becoming too bold.
What makes Box Hill stand out is its versatility. With milk, it becomes smooth and satisfying, delivering a warm and rounded flavour that holds up beautifully in flat whites or lattes. Taken black, it reveals more of its natural character and offers a well layered espresso that rewards slower sipping.

About the Roaster
Surrey Hills Coffee was founded in 2014 by Chris and Monika, a Swedish couple who moved from London to the Surrey Hills in search of fresh air, good cycling and better coffee. What started as a passion project soon turned into a well-loved fixture of the local scene, with their small batch roastery nestled in the village of Abinger Hammer.
