Volcano Coffee WorksFirehouse Blend is a bold, full-bodied espresso with notes of milk chocolate, dried orange and dark forest fruits, finished with a smooth syrupy richness. Inspired by Volcano’s Brixton firehouse roots, it is a darker roast built for punchy espresso and properly satisfying milk-based coffee.

If The Mount Blend is the easy-going all-rounder, Firehouse is its louder sibling.
This is Volcano’s take on a more traditional espresso. Bigger, darker and built for those who like their coffee with a bit more weight behind it. Think syrupy body, deep sweetness and the sort of richness that cuts beautifully through milk without losing itself in the process.
The blend brings together coffees from Brazil, Colombia and Tanzania, creating a cup that leans into milk chocolate, dried orange and dark berry sweetness, with a gentle hint of warming spice underneath. It is full-bodied and satisfying, with that familiar dark roast comfort, but still enough fruit character to stop it feeling flat.
The name comes from Volcano’s original Victorian fire station roastery in Brixton, which feels fitting. There is a bit of London energy in this one. Bold, dependable and made to wake you up properly. Best if you like your espresso with presence, or your flat whites tasting unmistakably of coffee.
About the Roaster
Volcano Coffee Works has a London coffee roastery, a café, and a team of 45 people on a mission to build the best coffee company we can, bean by bean. And the first batch of the day is still roasted by their founder, Kurt. They are known for ethically sourced, small-batch coffees that balance bold flavour with sustainability and direct relationships with growers.
