Las Mishas #1 comes from a community of smallholders in the Colassay area of northern Peru, growing Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai and Catimor varieties on organic land and processing them using the washed method. The result is a coffee with real body - rich and syrupy in the cup, with plum and strawberry sitting alongside caramel and a quiet thread of black tea that gives it a layered quality without ever feeling complicated.
It rewards a little patience. Brewed as a filter or through an Aeropress, the syrupy texture comes through cleanly and the fruit notes have room to open up. Pull it as an espresso and the caramel deepens, the plum rounds out, and the whole thing feels satisfying and substantial.

About the Roaster
Fountain Rock is a Dorset-based roastery founded by Andrew Hall, whose background in science and technology led him to study sensory analysis, brewing and roasting with the Speciality Coffee Association before ever selling a single bag. That grounding shows in how they work - from the electric roaster with its integrated profiling software to the relationships they've built with farmers they pay well above fair trade rates, because good coffee starts long before the roast.
